Religion is Very Messy Indeed

I sometimes think that we Christians tend to readily acknowledge the messiness of the Old Testament, and think that Jesus came to clean it all up.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

This Sunday, we will explore how Jesus strongly leans into the messiness of religion. We’ll see that in this Sunday’s gospel, a famous story about an act of unexpected kindness to him.
