Sunday: Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Welcome?
Everyone. Period. No matter who you are, where you are from, what is hurting you or bringing you joy, who you love, what you do, where you live, or what brought you here. Your unique story and gifts add richness to our shared life, and we look forward to getting to know you.
How Do I Get There?
We are located at 815 Wilmot Rd in Deerfield, at the corner of Deerfield Road and Wilmot Road.
Where Do I Park?
We have a large parking lot behind the church, accessible from both Deerfield Road and Wilmot Road.
Are Children Welcome?
Of course! We feel like it’s not really church unless kids are with us. During worship, children are invited to sit with the congregation or to make use of our adjacent Prayground Chapel. Learn more about Children in Worship and our other children’s programs.
Is There Wheelchair Accessibility?
We have two accessible entrances (click for diagram). Our restrooms also have accessible stalls.
What Should I Wear?
Wear what makes you comfortable. Some folks dress more formally, other dress quite casually. Jeans, sneakers, sleeveless shirts, dyed hair, piercings, tattoos … it’s all good as far as we’re concerned.
What is Worship Like?
Our service is recognizable to Roman Catholics, Lutherans, Anglicans, and Methodists. The first half focuses on reading and wrestling with holy scripture. The second half is the celebration of Holy Eucharist and sharing of Communion.
Though we are grounded in deep spirituality, we are also casual, relaxed, and relational in our worship. Our music is thoughtfully eclectic, drawing on traditional hymns, contemporary music, and different cultural contexts.
