How Could She Say Yes?

I have always wondered about God and his mother Mary because her life was full of heartbreak. From the conception of Jesus onward, God has seemingly set her a very harsh mission — which only gets harsher as she watches her beloved son crucified. How are we to understand a God who would ask this of his mom? 

As we prepare for the birth of the Prince of Peace, Savior and Redeemer, let’s wrestle with the call of God to Mary and her response. How could she say yes?
