The power of belief
An excerpt from John 6:2
Then they said to him, ‘What must we do to perform the works of God?’ Jesus answered them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.’
Reflection from Dave Jones, St. Lawrence: How do I know if I believe in Jesus? Because I am certain that I am part of something much bigger than I am (GOD), because of my faith that GOD is always there for me/us, and because of my belief in the Trinity, with Jesus as the incarnation of GOD. My faith and beliefs are affirmed in the story of Jesus’s life, and as I see evidence of GOD’s love in my life and the lives of others. Finally, I witness my belief in Jesus by aspiring to live my life according to principles set out in His teachings, in service to GOD’s will and to other people. Some days are better than others!
