FOLDING PRAYERS FOR PENTECOST – THIS SUNDAY!

As a part of our celebration of the gift of the Holy Spirit (who guides us, informs us, inspires us, and gives us prayers), we will write our prayers on pieces of white paper, and fold them into doves to hang in our worship space. The paper will be out on Sunday in Founder’s Hall.  Come, write a prayer. If you want to fold doves, take paper with prayers, and fold away – instructions will be out on the tables as well. Together, we can lift the prayers of this community for ourselves and the world!

PENTECOST PARISH POTLUCK PICNIC – SUNDAY, JUNE 9 AFTER THE 10AM SERVICE

To celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit, we will share the gift of good food and community together after the 10am on Pentecost Sunday.

·         WEAR RED! Pentecost is symbolized liturgically by the color red (the color of the Holy Spirit)

·         Fried Chicken will be provided ($ donations always welcome to cover cost – but not required!)

·         Last names beginning with A-K – Side Dish/Salad

·         Last names beginning with L-Z – Dessert

·         If your food needs to be warm, please bring something to keep it insulated – we have minimal oven space.

·         There will be some refrigerator space, but if you can bring something to keep cold food cold, that’s better!

·         We could use a few people to help set up, set out food, manage beverages, clean up, etc. If you are willing to help, please email Charlene (parish@stgregoryschurch.org).

CAN YOU SPEAK SPANISH, ITALIAN, FRENCH, OR GERMAN??

On Pentecost Sunday, the entire congregation will be singing a hymn that has multiple languages singing at the same time – so we will be singing all together – no one voice will stand out – and we need people who are willing to sing the different language parts. NO SINGING SKILL NECESSARY! You just need to be willing. J Please contact Kathryn Duncan to let her know you can participate in one of the languages above. Kathryn@stgregoryschurch.org
